LOCATION
UNIVERSITY of OREGON SCHOOL of ARCHITECTURE and ALLIED ARTS: LAWRENCE HALL REMODEL

ORIENTATION
The School of Architecture and Allied Arts is one of the largest academic programs at the University of Oregon occupying extensive building complexes on campus. The Additions and Alterations Project involved new construction and remodeling on two campus sites affecting nearly all the departments in the school. The first phase involved programming, master-planning and schematic design to define the scope of the project: the blend of new construction and remodeling at the two sites, the compliance with larger scale campus planning objectives, the physical arrangement of program components, and the adherence to the total project budget and timelines.

ORGANIZATION
The project consolidates the school at two sites from facilities which were previously scattered across the campus. It adds over 30,000 square feet of new construction at the Lawrence Hall site, and adds three new buildings establishing an “ Arts Village ” at the other site north of the Millrace.
