LOCATION
SEATTLE UNIVERSITY: ARTS and SCIENCES FACULTY OFFICE BUILDING
The five story Arts and Sciences Faculty Office Building is situated at the intersection of two important campus streets near the historic center of Seattle University . Two rectangular office wings have individual faculty offices along the inner and outer edges which flank a central zone containing departmental centers and shared rooms. A circular atrium containing the main stair and elevator, lobby spaces at each level, and common meeting rooms joins the two wings and unites the departments into a larger faculty community.

ORIENTATION
The exterior materials of the building were chosen to be both appropriate to this specific project and to establish a vocabulary for future campus projects. The material composition and detailing expresses the building’s program, relates to the adjacent existing buildings, and creates a new building imagery appropriate to a college campus. The interior spaces of the building are geometrically shaped, clearly articulated, dynamically interlocked, and supplied with an abundance of natural light.
